Over the course of the day 21 Academy novice and mini intermediate gymnasts preformed. The Academy army did not disappoint bringing home a
fantastic 13 medals most of them gold!
Under 8, A level competition
Within this competition there were 71 gymnasts! (No that's not a typing error) In this very busy environment 11 of the Academy's girls competed.
For some of the girls this was their first experience of competition and managing to block out the noise the girls performed excellently.
Many top places were gained including 3 very shiny gold medals by Samantha Alder crowning her the Vault, Trampet and over all champions.
Maddie Thomas also achieved a fantastic result, with a steady performance on each piece she brought home the over all bronze.
On each piece The Academy gained some fantastic results in such a large field
Floor
Joint 3rd Lily Cox and Emily Royce, 5th Molly Simmons and 7th by far the youngest competitor of the day 5 year old Imogen Timbrell.
Vault
1st Samantha Alder, Joint 2nd Tamaia Dandeniya and Emily Royce, 5th Molly Simmons, 6th Maddie Thomas and 8th Lucy Gorham.
Trampet

Under 11, A Level competition
In this section The Academy had only one gymnast representing the club. Having only joined the sport of gymnastics a couple of months ago Holly
Piggott did the club very proud by placing 6th over all. In a strong field holly was a little unlucky not to place higher however we don't argue
with judges! and holly placed 8th on floor, 5th on vault and 7th on trampet.
Over 11, A Level competition
Again The Academy only had one gymnast in this section and she did not disappoint. Long standing Academy member Davida Santus became the Vault,
Trampet and over all champion. This achievement was a fantastic result and she did her coaches very proud.
WELL DONE GIRL'S
